29th November - The bridge arrived on site yesterday (Tuesday) and we are now carrying out the additional works required, such as completing approach ramps and surfacing works.
The bridge has arrived on site today (Tuesday 28 November) and we remain on track to safely re-open the route on Friday (1 December) subject to no additional issues.
This is a map which shows the new alignment of the road at Balliemore Bridge, where the new temporary bridge will go slightly upstream of the existing bridge. The old bridge will be demolished and a permanent replacement progressed for April 2024.
