Community projects across Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æ and Bute continue to benefit from the Council’s Supporting Communities Fund. From youth groups to community woodlands, swimming clubs to community transport, the Council is helping a range of initiatives, providing vital lifelines and services in the area.
The 2022/2023 Supporting Communities Fund is now open for applications. If you are a not-for-profit organisation, apply to the Fund and you could be eligible for potentially up to £2,500 to help projects happening in your community.
You can apply via the council’s website /council-and-government/third-sector-grants. The closing date is 10 January 2022.

“We have dedicated active communities in Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æ and Bute who help bring people together, look after each other and improve the place where they live.
We know that the pandemic has been challenging for lots of community projects, many are in need of a financial boost. We hope that by opening up the Fund, we can continue to help some of the fantastic work happening across our communities.â€
Who can apply?
Organisations eligible to apply include voluntary, community, charities and social enterprises involved in Sports and Leisure, Arts and Culture, Social Welfare or Education. This includes Community Councils and Parent Councils.
You must demonstrate your project falls under the key criteria themes:
- Fairer Communities – tackling poverty by sharing opportunities
- Resilient Communities - repairing and rebuilding from the pandemic
- Greener, Cleaner Communities – environmental action to support addressing climate change
- Creative Communities - creativity for health and wellbeing.
