Support extended for care experienced children and young people

Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æ and Bute Council has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the educational attainment and life chances of care experienced children and young people.

At a meeting of the Council’s Community Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æ Committee members were given an update on the progress of work to support vulnerable young people across Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æ and Bute.

: Where will you see Vanilla Ice, Gritny Spears, Captain Gritter Pants and The Grittersaurus keeping the roads free of ice and snow?

: Please be aware that there will be changes to bin collections over the festive period. There are also things you can do to help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill over this busy time. Paper, card, cans and plastic bottles/tubs/pots/trays can be placed in your recycling bins or bags. Unfortunately anything covered in glitter or foil-based paper cannot be recycled.  You can also find out more about .

: Counselling services are to be made available to young people in Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æ and Bute, as part of the Scottish Government’s 10 year Mental Health Strategy.

Consultations

Which council services do you and your family need most? Hundreds of people have already told us – please answer as many or as few of our as you wish, to support what matters to you.  This survey closes on Monday 16 December. Thank you.

Transport Scotland is conducting an online survey for the Second Strategic Transport Projects Review (STPR2), which will inform investment in transport for the next 20 years. This is a chance to give .

People across Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æ and Bute are being invited to on updating the document that outlines how health and social care functions and services are provided locally.

Please let us know views on a new we are preparing. This will set out planning and development proposals for the next 10 years from 2020 and a vision for 20 years.  The plan will cover all of the Â鶹Ãâ·Ñ°æ and Bute Council area, apart from the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Area (LLTNP), where a separate Local Development Plan is prepared by the National Park Authority.
